Our core focus is to develop, support, facilitate and inspire entrepreneurs and their businesses.
Why Entrepreneurship at Worcester
The University of Worcester is one of a small number of universities to achieve ‘Centre of Excellence’ status from the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE). Entrepreneurship is part of the core strategy for the University of Worcester and, as such, we are developing a world class environment for students, staff and local entrepreneurs. Our approach to entrepreneurship and small business management is based on practice informed by theory, undertaken in an experiential learning environment where you engage with entrepreneurs, their businesses and our local entrepreneurial ecosystem. As an example, our learning material uses local entrepreneurial businesses.
Our entrepreneurship degree has been designed for those wanting to start a business and brings together global best practice. The majority of our staff have either started or run businesses, providing you with a huge resource of real entrepreneurial experience. This is supplemented by our 20 Entrepreneurs in Residence who bring a large network, resources and support to any student looking to start a business. You will also have access to our Business Incubator, which provides office space and meeting room, and to our Worcesterpreneur events and funding support.
