Welcome to the Language CentreWe help students to improve their English and foreign language skills, and provide training to teach English as a foreign language.
Whether you are a student at the University of Worcester or not, the Language Centre offers a range of options to help you improve your English, learn a new language or develop the knowledge and skills you need to teach English as a foreign language.
If you want to improve your essay, report or presentation, book an Academic English support session. You may also be interested in registering for the level 4 module 'Improving English Usage and Style in Academic Writing' (LANG1002 for native speakers and LANG1003 for non-native speakers of English).
Language skills are highly valued by employers and broaden your horizon generally. We currently offer French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish for beginners.
Our TEFL and CELTA modules and courses help you improve your language and teaching awareness and open up job opportunities all over the world.
If you'd like to get advice on language learning and teaching, or if you'd like to borrow materials, please visit the Language Centre library (Jenny Lind, JLG004). Email firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment or ask the Jenny Lind receptionist to let us know you're there.
Check out the menu on the left for more information about these and other modules, courses and support that we offer.
